Two halls with materials from the First and Second Bulgarian state, among which the beautiful vessels and ornaments of the Nikopol treasure (XIV-XV); an original gate from the Nikopol fortress; silver and copper bracelets, ear-rings and rings from a necropolis near Pleven (XII-XIV); arms, ceramics and objects made of bone.

Armenian tetraevangelia

Armenian tetraevangelia, papyrus, XII c., 15,2/11 cm., the town of Belene. Inv. No 3741. The Gospel contains 27 miniatures, 4 title pages and 252 pages text in Armenian language. On the last page there is a donation inscription in French, according to which it is bestowed on the Bulgarian king Alexander I Batenberg by the Armenian metropolitan in Bulgaria Ovanes Krikorian in 1883.
